Apollo's Hegemony Vitamin D3 & K2 MK7 is a source of the best-absorbed, active forms of vitamins K2 and D3.
Vitamin D3 - produced in the body, is responsible for balancing the calcium-phosphate balance and supporting bone health. Its deficiencies are observed among people exposed to low levels of sunlight (e.g. during the autumn and winter months), as well as among postmenopausal women.
Vitamin K2 - helps maintain bone health and also contributes to normal blood clotting
MK-7 is the best absorbed form of vitamin K2, in the form of menaquinone (M) with 7 isoprenoid side chain residues.
The definition of the word ‘vitamin’ includes compounds that are essential for the body to function properly. However, they should be supplied externally. Interestingly, both supplement components are produced in the body (vitamin D3 in stages in the skin, liver and kidneys, while vitamin K2 is produced by intestinal bacteria), but their synthesis may be insufficient in certain situations.
It is worth mentioning that both vitamins help to maintain healthy bones. This aspect extends the action of cholecalciferol, as it also supports the proper condition of teeth, or the other component of the musculoskeletal system - muscles. It is also worth mentioning that vitamin D helps in the correct absorption/use of calcium and phosphorus.
